The Gabrielpika channel was originally launched as a American version of TCC in September 20, 1994, it was a joint between Flextech and FTN until September 30, 2000, when FTN acquired ownership of TCC and became FTN Kids.
In 2011, when the channel's market and ratings was low, TPEN later bought the channel and the network was replaced by a pay cable channel known as TPEN Plus. Months later the channel's ratings was much worse, so TPEN added The Gabrielpika's programming in overnight timeslots and later everyday till TGP finally launched at September 20, 2012, since ideas and concepts for The Gabrielpika channel began since 1990s and postponed its launch near the 2000s.
The Gabrielpika had programming changes between 2015, and 2017, it previously carried archived programming from certain children's blocks and networks from United States, Foopiia, and several countries, then carrying most children-youth anime and original programming, but also still carried some foreign programming from mostly Latin America, Europe, and Asia.

By September 25, 2017, it'll began increasing large amount of Anime programming, and will be taking the entire overnight timeslot from 6:00pm to 6:00am, they'll however will retain a few acquired programming and its original animated programming during the daytime slot with rest of the programming moving to GabToons and few to Zoog, similar what Boomerang did by adding recent programming that where previously aired from Cartoon Network.
In November 1, 2017, The Gabrielpika announced that its non-anime movies will be removed by December 2020, and will be added to The Gabrielpika Family, The Gabrielpika Jr. and GabToons weekend and holiday lineup by May 2018.
